The Village of Combined Locks has contracted with Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department for police service. Deputies will patrol both Buchanan and Combined Locks under this contract. In addition, Combined Locks has contracted a sergeant/investigator for dedicated service to Combined Locks only.

Welcome (back) to our community, Sergeant Nicole Hambly!
Sergeant Nicole Hambly has been serving as a deputy with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office since 2021. Prior to law enforcement, she was employed as a Correctional Officer for 6 years and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies out of Northern Illinois University. During her career, she has worked within the Buchanan / Combined Locks contract, served as a School Resource Officer, trains as a Use of Force Instructor for the agency, and is involved in several community events with the Sheriff’s Office throughout the year.
As a resident of Combined Locks, she feels especially dedicated to serving and protecting this community. Sergeant Hambly’s favorite aspect of working within law enforcement is getting to interact with members of the public on a daily basis. She is looking forward to community engagement in Combined Locks and responding to incidents side by side with our amazing local first responders.
